AI Grader can automatically evaluate virtually any type of open-ended assignment in Cobi, including:
AI Grader will automatically process each student's submission. Depending on your class size, this may take a few minutes.
Using Grading Rubrics

- Programming projects
- Essays and written responses
- Turtle Graphics
- Games and interactive projects
- Any custom open-ended question
- Open your class section.
- From the left menu, select the open-ended task you want to grade.
- In the roster on the right, click a student's name.
- Click the Grade button at the top of the page to enter Grading Mode.
- In Grading Mode, you'll see two fields that AI can complete:
- Score
- Feedback
- Click AI Grade in the bottom-right corner to grade the selected student's submission.
To grade every student's submission for the selected task, click AI Grade All next to the AI Grade button.
The AI will evaluate the student's work, assign a score, and generate personalized feedback based on the task requirements.

AI Grader supports rubric-based grading.
