An assignment is a set of tasks that you can set deadlines, grade, and assign as homework or a quiz. These Assignments are embedded throughout the curriculum. Notice them by the 'Assignment' tag. You can create your own Assignments as well.
Setting Assignments
To set the Assignments,
1. Click on the Assignment Topic.
2. Click 'Settings'.
3. Set the assignment.
A. Is it always open?
The assignment is made accessible to students at all times. Once this is turned ON, the start date and end date settings will no longer be available.
When turned OFF, you can designate the start date and the end date.
A-1. Start date - Designate the Start date. This is when the assignment will become accessible to students.
A-2. End date - Designate the End date. Once the end date is reached, students will no longer have access to the assignment but will be able to see their grades. Leave this empty if you don't want to close the submission.
B. Show results?
Turn this on to show student grades.
C. Multiple attempts allowed?
Turn this ON to allow multiple attempts per question.
If you turn this OFF, students are allowed to make a single attempt per question.
D. Instructions - Enter any instructions.
4. Save!
Between the Start date and End date, the Assignment becomes active and will be highlighted in bright green with an active icon.
