LTI Integration: Canvas and Cobi

Give student assignments on Canvas and connect to Cobi's content.

Seamlessly single-sign-on (SSO) from Canvas to Cobi. 

* SSO works for email sign-ups. 

1. Go to the Course 'Settings'.
2. Click 'Apps'.
3. Click 'View App Configurations'.

4. Click '+App'.

• Configuration Type: Select 'By URL'
• Name: Cobi Computer Science (Any name you can recognize would work)
• Config URL: 

https://www.eduappcenter.com/configurations/texwf3j33ahdvplb.xml

6. You'll see Cobi App from the External Apps.

7. Click on the settings icon. Then click 'Edit' from the dropdown menu. 

8. From the Privacy Level select either 'Email only' or 'Public'.

Now, go to gocobi.com >> section >> assignment or topic you want to assign.

9. Click on the see more icon next to the Topic. 

10. From the dropdown menu, click 'Copy LTI URL'. This will copy the needed URL information for the Canvas assignment. 

Now go back to Canvas. 

11. Create an Assignment on Canvas.

• Select External Tool
• Paste the LTI URL copied from Cobi.

There is no need to click Find.

The App button is created. Students can click on this button to jump to Cobi without having to log in at Cobi.
